Girls Football

On a dark, rainy night at Parswood High School the girls football team took part in another tournament. It’s fair to say that we need to revisit our Sam Allardyce tactics of parking the bus in favour Klopp’s rock and roll football.

Blossoming Artists

This half term we have been looking at self-portraits with a view to doing one in the style of Romero Britto. As you can see the results are amazing so far.

🍈🥦 Harvest Assembly 🥑🌽

What a fantastic end to the first month back in school! The children were amazing at learning their lines and judging from the comments the staff made; the assembly was a roaring success.

A special mentions to all the children that wrote their own parts in the assembly. Mrs McGarry was very impressed with your thoughtful words. Don’t be surprised if you’re asked to write them up for a display somewhere around school!

Here are a few photos of the assembly for anyone that was unable to make it.

Harvest Tango Lyrics

This is a harvest tango,
some runner beans and a nice ripe mango,
asparagus and an avocado,
we’re thankful for them all, them all, them a-a-all.

This is a harvest tango,
a passionfruit with a plum tomato,
a ginger root and some oregano
we’re thankful for them all, them all, them a-a-all.

Peas and brussels sprouts or aubergines,
Radishes and plums or tangerines.

This is a harvest tango,
an artichoke and a juicy grapefruit,
a potato and the sweetest date fruit,
we’re thankful for them all, them all, them a-a-all.

This is a harvest tango,
a cantaloupe and a watermelon,
a pineapple and a lime or lemon,
we’re thankful for them all, them all, them a-a-all.

Peas and brussels sprouts or aubergines,
Radishes and plums or tangerines.

This is a harvest tango,
some runner beans and a nice ripe mango,
asparagus and an avocado,
we’re thankful for them all, them all, them a-a-all.

This is a harvest tango,
a passionfruit with a plum tomato,
a ginger root and some oregano
we’re thankful for them all, them all, them a-a-all.

Peas and brussels sprouts or aubergines,
Radishes and plums or tangerines.

This is a harvest tango.

Girls football tournament

We are the one and only St. Mary’s chanted the excited fans as they watched the exciting brand of attacking football that Mr. Sandiford brought to the team on a rainy Tuesday evening. Whilst this evolution will take time from the dark Trohear ages there’s plenty of hope ahead. Well done St. Mary’s, you did an amazing job!

🎵 Assembly Songs 🎶

Calling all Year 6! You need to practise these songs at home so that we can belt them out on Friday. Get your singing voices warmed up and turned up to 11 so that we can smash this!

Triathlon @ Hough End 🏊🏽‍♀️🚴🏾‍♂️🏃🏾‍♀️🏅

What a fantastic experience! All the children that took part in the Brownlee Foundation triathlon had a ball. Even though it wasn’t a competitive event, they cheered each other on and supported their team mates all the way through.

They all completed the triathlon – although some were more exhausted than others – they all have a medal to prove it. I can’t wait for next year. It was such good fun! I think you’ll agree, the pictures show just how much the children enjoyed it.
